This special DAISY brooch is released to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II's remarkable 52-year reign. Crafted in sterling silver and plated with 18 kt. gold, the brooch is engraved with the date of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II's abdication: 14 January 2024. The design originates from a daisy-shaped brooch worn by Her Majesty Queen Ingrid during her wedding to His Majesty King Frederik IX. After the birth of their daughter Margrethe, later Queen Margrethe II, many Danish jewellers produced daisy designs as gifts because Margrethe was nicknamed Daisy. It was this motif that inspired Georg Jensen's iconic and popular DAISY jewellery collection.
